Marc Sorensen Leandro brings more than 15 years of firsthand private-service experience to domestic staffing recruitment. He began his career working in prominent private households across California, New York, and Normandy, France, gaining an unusually close understanding of the standards, discretion, personalities, and relationships that define successful private service.

In January 2022, Marc transitioned into domestic staffing recruitment, bringing that experience to the agency side of the industry. After two years in recruitment, he founded Sorensen Staffing in January 2024. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area and working nationally, the firm places accomplished domestic professionals with discerning private households, with searches ranging from Private Chefs and Estate Managers to Executive Assistants, Personal Assistants, Housekeepers, and other key household staff.

Marc’s background gives him an insider’s understanding of both sides of the hiring relationship: what a household genuinely needs from its staff and what allows an exceptional professional to thrive within a private home. His work combines thoughtful candidate assessment with a strong instinct for personality, chemistry, discretion, and the less tangible qualities that can determine whether a placement truly works.

His recruitment philosophy is grounded in clarity, responsiveness, and straightforward communication. Rather than approaching a search as simply filling a position, Marc focuses on creating thoughtful, enduring matches built on mutual respect, professionalism, and a clear understanding of expectations.
